While single-player story games are fantastic, there comes a time when you want to play with your friends. That said, sometimes that is a challenging thing to do, especially when they play on different platforms such as a computer. Therefore, here are the top ten best PS4 and PC crossplay games you can play with your friends.

In the Older Days

Back in the day, playing together with your friends was a lot more challenging than today. The issue came in with not everyone playing on the same platform. In some cases, that led to gamers buying a system they did not want because their friends used it.

Most games back then did not feature crossplay capabilities. However, today, it is an entirely different story. Many modern games available now have some crossplay features.

The thing is, gamers want to be able to play with their friends regardless of what platform they play on and developers know this. For this reason, many older titles have received updates that made it possible. Now, there are numerous PS4 and PC crossplay games players can enjoy.

1. Among Us

Like many games on this list, Among Us requires little introduction. When the game was released, it became a viral hit incredibly fast. Everyone started playing it, even non-gamers.

While today the player base has dropped, the game is still very much alive. Anong Us has received several updates and has crossplay support, making it one of the best games to play with your friends.

2. Overwatch 2

If you are more in the mood for a fast-paced shooter, consider giving Overwatch 2 a chance. One notable thing about Overwatch 2 — except that it has crossplay — is that it is a free-to-play title which was not the case for the first game.

This makes it an excellent game to give a go, even if you usually don’t play these types of games. Though its player base has seen a decline, the game still remains popular.

3. Paladins

If you are tired of playing overwatch and want something similar that still feels different, check out Paladins. This is one of those examples where the game was released without crossplay but was later added.

While Paladins is less polished than other titles, it still offers an incredible time. There are a lot of champions to choose from, where each can be played differently thanks to talents and loadouts.

While crossplay is something the game offers, if you want to compete in ranked matches, all the other players will need to play with the same peripherals as you. Meaning, that even if you have a PS4 but your friends are on PC, you can still enjoy ranked matches together as long as you play with a keyboard and mouse or they with a controller.

4. Overcooked: All You Can Eat

Overcooked is an excellent game you should experience, even if you tend to dislike these types of games. In addition to its crossplay functionality, many gamers regard it as one of the best modern couch co-op titles.

Overcooked is one of those video games you and your friends can play together for hours without getting tired of the experience. With all the content it offers, you are bound to have a few laughs and just an overall entertaining time.

5. Diablo 4

Diablo 4 is a hack-and-slash ARPG game that puts you in the middle of the action. Since the game is online only, you and your friends can team up to fight hordes of demons together. The game released with full crossplay support and has a lot of content for players to experience.

Unlike previous titles in the franchise, Diablo 4 is an open-world game. The game has a fantastic story and features enough player customization to keep you busy for hours. If you are a fan of the Diablo series, give this one a go.

6. Rocket League

This is another title requiring little introduction. While the premise of Rocket League is straightforward, the gameplay does not disappoint. It mainly involves players desperately chasing after a ball and trying to secure a goal.

When the game first launched, you needed to buy it, but the title did go free to play in 2020. The player base has gone down compared to what it was in the past, but it still remains popular. Rocket League has full crossplay support, so you can play it with your friends no matter which platform they use.

7. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0

If Rocket League is not your thing, Warzone 2.0 has a lot on offer. Like all Call of Duty games, it has enticing gameplay and features a plethora of weapons — many of them from previous titles.

Playing with your friends is an easy task, thanks to its full crossplay support. If you like more realistic-style battle royale games, give this one a go.

8. No Man’s Sky

When No Man’s Sky was first released, it was poorly received. Due to many missing features, gamers around the world started asking for their money back. Gaming platforms such as Steam even started to provide refunds regardless of the player’s game time.

However, today, it is a completely different story. No Man’s Sky has received numerous updates that have brought many changes to the game, including much-requested multiplayer capabilities.

In addition, No Man’s Sky also supports full crossplay, making it one of the best games to get lost with your friends in space. If you tried the game in the past but did not like it for whatever reason, consider giving it another shot — it really deserves it.

9. Splitgate

What’s unique about Splitgate is that it combines all the fun of old-style arena shooters, such as Unreal Tournament 2004, with the popular platform mechanic from the Portal games.

Players can run around with their friends and defeat enemies while quickly teleporting back to a safe area thanks to their portal gun. However, take caution, as enemy players can also come through your portal.

With all of that said, there is one thing to be aware of if you are considering giving this game a go. Unfortunately, Splitgate will no longer receive any updates. The reason for this is the developers are currently working on a new game that will feature the same mechanics and universe.

However, they have also stated the servers will still remain operational. Even given Splitgate’s situation, it is such a fun game and deserves to make it on this list. If you are looking for a unique arena shooter and don’t mind that the game no longer receives updates, certainly give this one a go.

10. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Same as Among Us, when Fall Guys came out, everyone wanted to play this game. Fortunately, everyone has the chance due to it now being a free-to-play title since the middle of 2022. Fall Guys has a simplistic premise with cute graphics that pull people in.

The main idea of Fall Guys is to finish an obstacle course before other players do. That said, something always goes wrong along the way and you can’t help but chuckle at those mishaps.

This is definitely a game to play with your friends. And thanks to it having full crossplay support, you will have no trouble doing so.
