Founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994, Amazon has come a long way since its early days. What started as an online marketplace for books slowly but steadily became a multinational, influential technology company. Now, people around the world look forward to new Amazon devices each year.
Amazon is now one of the world’s most valuable brands and is considered one of the top five American information technology (IT) companies. The other four are Meta, Alphabet, Apple and Microsoft.
Since it introduced the Kindle in 2007, Amazon has developed a wide range of products and services, including Fire TV products, Alexa, Echo and eero wifi systems. Below are some examples of the latest Amazon devices that you can get your hands on this year.
1. Fire TV Stick 4K Streaming Device

This version of the popular Amazon Fire TV Stick streaming device brings a cinematic experience right to your home. You can access the latest 4K content using Alexa voice controls. Simply say, “Alexa, find 4K movies.” You can also find movies based on actors, plots or iconic quotes. You can enjoy immersive Dolby Atmos audio with compatible soundbars and other home audio systems on select titles.
The Fire TV Stick 4K brings vivid colors, lifelike scenes and stunning clarity to the screen using Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR10+ and HLG. There are over 1 million movies and TV episodes to watch on several streaming services using the Fire TV Stick 4K, so you’ll never run out of content to stream.
2. Blink Video Doorbell + Sync Module Core

The Blink Video Doorbell + Sync Module Core comes packed with useful features to provide you with security and peace of mind, whether you’re at home or away. It has two-way audio, comes wired or wire-free, supports HD video, and offers motion and chime alerts to keep you safe.
You can set up this Blink Video Doorbell yourself in just a few minutes, and it works with Alexa. You can say, “Alexa, show me the front door.” Amazon does recommend mounting this doorbell to your home for weather resistance, so keep that in mind if you decide to purchase it.
3. Kindle Paperwhite 16 GB

Two upgrades that come with this new Kindle model are a larger, 7” glare-free display and an adjustable warm light that allows you to shift your screen shade from white to amber, so it’s easier on your eyes. The Kindle Paperwhite’s battery lasts up to 12 weeks, and pages turn 20% faster.
It’s also waterproof and will protect you against accidental immersion. The Kindle Paperwhite is thin, lightweight and portable, so you can enjoy your favorite novels at any time. Consider the new Kindle Paperwhite 16 GB for an intuitive reading experience.
4. Ring Chime

The Ring Chime is essentially a wifi-enabled box that alerts you when notifications from your Ring cameras and doorbells go off. When someone rings your doorbell or motion is detected, the Ring Chime will sound off an alert loud and clear. It’s easy to install since you only have to plug it into a standard outlet and connect it to your home wifi.
Ring Chime allows you to choose from various chime tones, control the volume of the alerts and temporarily snooze alerts. These actions can be done using the Ring app on your phone.
5. Amazon Fire TV 65″ Omni Series 4K UHD Smart TV

Simply turn on this Amazon smart TV by saying, “Alex, turn on the TV.” The Fire TV Omni Series brings you 4K Ultra HD entertainment for you and the whole family to enjoy. It has stellar picture quality, Dolby Digital Plus and hands-free control with Alexa. This smart TV has a thin profile and a near-seamless display, so you’re only focused on the content you’re streaming.
The Fire Tv 65″ Omni Series comes preloaded with the most popular streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+, HBO Max, Peacock, Tubi, Prime Video, YouTube and more. You can also stream music from your favorite apps, like Spotify, Amazon Music and Sirius XM. Another great feature is AirPlay, which lets you share photos and videos on-screen from a compatible Apple device, like an iPhone or iPad.
6. Echo Frames (3rd Generation)

Amazon’s Echo Frames 3rd Generation is a pair of smart audio glasses integrated with Alexa capabilities. They’re designed so any eyewear professional can add prescription lenses, just like regular glasses. You can make calls, listen to music, podcasts or audiobooks, set reminders, hear the latest news stories, or make changes to your smart home using the Echo Frames.
The frames are lightweight, splash-resistant and come in versatile styles. Echo Frames users can get six hours of media playback, talk time and Alexa interactions over 14 hours, or 4 hours of listening on a single full charge.
7. Echo Show 15, Full HD 15.6″ Smart Display

The Echo Show 15 is a personalized smart display that can keep your family organized. It’s a 15.6″ display integrated with Alexa-powered widgets, including shared calendars, shopping lists, sticky notes and more. You can also add your most-used smart home devices and control them from the Echo Show.
Stream music, TV shows or movies using the Echo Show and even look up recipes that provide step-by-step instructions. You can also use the Echo Show’s Photo Frame feature to display family photos from your Amazon Photos or Facebook. One cool feature is that each family member can create their own profile with a visual and voice ID to see their appointments, recently played music or any reminders they’ve set.
8. Kindle Colorsoft 16 GB

Amazon’s Kindle Colorsoft brings color to the Kindle lineup for the first time, offering an immersive way to read comics and illustrated books or just see your favorite book covers in color. It features a 7” glare-free Colorsoft display that maintains the familiar paper-like feel of Kindle devices while adding a splash of high-contrast color.
Despite the new color feature, battery life remains a strong point for this Kindle. A single charge from its USB-C cable can last eight weeks. It is also waterproof, so it’s safe for reading by the pool or in the bath. The Kindle Colorsoft comes with all the familiar features known to longtime Kindle users, with fast page turns, adjustable lighting and access to Kindle Unlimited and Amazon’s massive ebook store.
9. Amazon eero Pro Mesh Wifi System (1 Pro + 2 Beacons)

Mesh wifi systems are becoming increasingly popular. The Amazon eero Pro Mesh Wifi System may be the perfect solution for your home internet needs. The eero system replaces your traditional wifi router and extenders and offers coverage for a two to four-bedroom home. The connection is fast, reliable and the second-generation eero system is twice as fast as the original eero wifi system.
The eero mesh wifi system uses multiple wireless access points to deliver a dependable internet experience. The two eero beacons simply plug into the wall and extend the wifi connection to every device in your home. It’s quick and easy to set up, as it only takes minutes, and the mobile app makes managing the wifi easy and hassle-free.
10. Amazon Smart Thermostat

Many tech brands are introducing smart thermostats into their product lineups. Ditch your traditional home thermostat and use the Amazon Smart Thermostat to help reduce energy consumption. If you have an Amazon Echo, you can connect it and control your home’s climate using Alexa voice controls.
The smart thermostat uses Honeywell technology. It can even help you save on annual energy bills because it’s ENERGY STAR certified. Alexa handles the programming for you and adjusts your home’s temperature based on your preferences. Some customers are eligible for ongoing energy-saving incentives, but eligibility depends on your specific energy provider.
The list above includes several examples of Amazon devices. Still, there are plenty more to dig your teeth into on their online marketplace. Whether you want a smart home with the latest technologies or a pair of smart audio glasses, Amazon likely has a device that suits your specific needs.
What’s on the Horizon for Amazon Gadgets?
Amazon’s next wave points to a bigger shift toward more AI-led experiences. While these gadgets are still feature-rich, the company is building a more cohesive ecosystem, starting with Alexa at the center.
Reports suggest Amazon is developing a new smartphone built around Amazon Alexa as the primary interface. Codenamed “Transformer,” analysts believe the phone will rely heavily on AI and make Amazon experiences like Prime Music and Prime Video easier to navigate.
According to Reuters, the project is being led by ZeroOne, headed by J Allard, ex-Microsoft executive and Xbox co-founder.
Expect More New Amazon Devices in the Future
There’s no doubt that Amazon devices can help you navigate an ever-changing digital landscape. Amazon’s Alexa service is constantly improving, and most Amazon devices come with Alexa capabilities. Amazon will likely release more devices in the next few years, so keep an eye out for great deals.
