Looking for the best gaming chairs to complete your home gaming setup? There are thousands of gaming chairs on the market today, but not all of them are worth buying. We selected the top five chairs, from budget options to premium picks. Our list even includes gaming chairs for short people and big and tall people.

1. Secretlab Titan EVO: The Gold Standard

If you’re looking for the best gaming chairs, start your search off with today’s most popular model: the Secretlab Titan EVO. This is truly one of the best chairs on the market in the gaming space.

It comes in a range of sizes, colors and fabric options so it’s super customizable. The smallest size is best for people under 5’6” but if you’re shorter than about 5’3”, you will still need a footrest. The regular size is best for most people and the XL size can suit people up to 6’8” tall.

While the Titan EVO is a bit pricey, starting around $500, it’s incredibly comfortable and well-made. For extra comfort, go for the SoftWeave fabric option. The padding, shape and magnetic headrest pillow all add great ergonomic support to the Titan EVO’s design, as well.

2. AKRacing California: Best for Short People

Finding a gaming chair can be extremely difficult for anyone under 5’6”, such as shorter adults or kids and teens. Unfortunately, there are little to no good options for people in this height range. However, the AKRacing California is worth trying out.

This gaming chair is almost perfect for short people. It takes the standard racing chair design and scales it down slightly with a narrower seat and shorter seat back. It’s comfortable for hours at a time and holds up well. The armrests are adjustable and it can also recline.

The only issue with this chair is the height range. The lowest seat height is about 17 inches. So, if you are under 5’3” or 5’4”, your feet will not be able to sit flat on the floor. This is disappointing considering that this chair is supposed to be specifically for shorter adults.

However, it is still better than many full size gaming chairs and the shorter seat back means smaller folks won’t look dwarfed by their chair while sitting down. For a mesh alternative for shorter gamers, check out the CLATINA Executive chair, which is a bit cheaper and has a slightly lower minimum height.

3. AKRacing Max: Best Big and Tall Gaming Chair

Short people aren’t the only ones who can have trouble finding the perfect gaming chair. If you’re looking for the best gaming chairs for big and tall people, check out the AKRacing Master Series Max.

This chair is specifically designed to comfortably support gamers weighing up to 400 pounds. It has a wide, flat seat base so your legs aren’t squished together like on smaller chairs. The max height is listed at 6’6”, though, so if you’re extra tall, you might be better off with something like the Secretlab Titan EVO XL, which is a bit taller.

All around, this is a great chair for larger gamers. It takes the classic racer design and makes it just a bit wider so you have more space to stretch out. The headrest and lumbar pillow are larger, as well. The build quality is sturdy and comfy, making it well worth the $490 price tag.

4. Logitech/Herman Miller Vantum: Best Mesh Gaming Chair

Most gaming chairs are faux leather, which looks nice but isn’t always comfortable. If you want something more breathable, take a look at the Logitech/Herman Miller Vantum, an ergonomic mesh chair designed for gamers.

This chair takes the incredibly comfortable ergonomics of a Herman Miller chair and packages it in a sleek gaming design. It’s low-key enough to fit in at an office, though, so you can have the best of both worlds with this chair. The mesh is breathable, yet soft and the entire chair has a premium build quality.

The Vantum has a lot of adjustability features, as well. You can adjust the height, armrests, headrest and even the positioning of the ergonomics. This allows you to get the chair positioned just right for your lower and upper back. It’s no surprise that this is easily one of the most comfortable gaming chairs to use for hours at a time.

The only real drawback to the Vantum is its price. Coming in at just under $1000, it’s expensive for a gaming chair. If you want a mesh chair, but don’t want to shell out that much money for it, the Respawn Spire is a good alternative for about half the price. The Respawn Flexx is an even cheaper option, coming in under $400.

5. Corsair TC100 Relaxed: Best Budget Gaming Chair

If you’re looking for the best gaming chairs under $500, you have some good options to choose from. Start with the Corsair TC100 Relaxed, which is just $250, although you can often catch it on sale for less than $200.

There are a lot of low-quality chairs in the budget market, but this is definitely not one of them. Corsair is one of the most reliable brands in gaming, and their chairs don’t disappoint. The TC100 Relaxed includes all the basic features you would want in a gaming chair with the addition of soft fabric and a large seat for spreading out and getting comfy. It only comes in black and gray, but that means it will blend in at just about any gaming setup. The thick seat pad is comfortable for long gaming sessions, too.

This is all around a great gaming chair for people on a budget. The build quality is among the best you’re going to find in this price range. If you do want alternatives, though, take a look at the AutoFull C3 and the Respawn 110, both coming in around the same price as the TC100 Relaxed.
