First-Generation Alexa Voice Remote
Alexa’s unique artificial intelligence system is paired with this remote that lacks a power button, volume up and volume down buttons. Here’s how to reset it:
1. First, you’ll need to unplug your Fire TV and wait one minute.
2. Press and hold down the Left button. At the same time, press and hold down the Menu button. Hold both buttons down for 12 seconds.
3. Then, let go of both buttons.
4. Wait five seconds.
5. Next, take the batteries out of your remote.
6. Plug in your Fire TV and wait one minute.
7. Reinstall the batteries in your Fire TV remote.
8. Press the Home button.
9. If your remote didn’t pair with the TV, hold the Home button down for ten seconds.
Alexa Voice Remote With Volume and Power Buttons
This generation of Fire Stick remotes is equipped with volume and power buttons. To reset it:
1. To get started, unplug your Fire TV. Wait one minute before proceeding.
2. Next, hold down the Menu button, Back button and Left button simultaneously. Keep holding them for 12 seconds.
3. Release all three buttons.
4. Wait five seconds. Then, take the batteries out of your Fire Stick remote.

7. Replace the batteries in the remote and press the Home button.
