Founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994, Amazon has come a long way since its early days. What started as an online marketplace for books slowly but steadily became a multinational, influential technology company. Now, people across the world look forward to new Amazon devices coming out each year.

Amazon is now one of the world’s most valuable brands and considered one of the “Big Five” American information technology (IT) companies. The other four are Meta, Alphabet, Apple and Microsoft.

In 2007, Amazon introduced its first Kindle, which offered 90,00 e-books and sold out mere hours after it was announced. Since then, Amazon has developed a wide range of products and services, including Fire TV products, Alexa, Echo and eero wifi systems.

Below are some examples of the latest Amazon devices that you can get your hands on this year.

1. Fire TV Stick 4K Streaming Device – $29.99

This version of the popular Amazon Fire TV Stick streaming device brings a cinematic experience right to your home. You can access the latest 4K content using Alexa voice controls. Simply ask, “Alexa, find 4K movies.” You can enjoy immersive Dolby Atmos audio with compatible soundbars and other home audio systems on select titles.

The Fire TV Stick 4K brings vivid colors, lifelike scenes and stunning clarity to the screen using Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR10+ and HLG. There are over 1 million movies and TV episodes to watch on several streaming services using the Fire TV Stick 4K, so you’ll never run out of content to stream.

2. Blink Video Doorbell + Sync Module 2 – $84.98

The Blink Video Doorbell + Sync Module 2 comes full of useful features to grant you security and peace of mind while you’re in or away from your home. It has two-way audio, comes wired or wire-free, HD video capabilities and has motion and chime alerts to keep you safe.

You can set up this Blink Video Doorbell yourself in just a few minutes, and it works with Alexa. You can say, “Alexa, show me the front door.” Amazon does recommend mounting this doorbell to your home for weather resistance, so keep that in mind if you decide to purchase it.

3. Kindle Paperwhite 8 GB – $139.99

Two upgrades that come with this new Kindle model are a larger, 6.8″ display and an adjustable warm light that allows you to shift your screen shade from white to amber, so it’s easier on your eyes. The Kindle Paperwhite’s battery lasts up to 10 days, and pages turn 20% faster.

It’s also waterproof and will protect you against accidental immersion. The Kindle Paperwhite is thin, lightweight and portable, so you can enjoy your favorite novels at any time. Consider the new Kindle Paperwhite 8 GB for an intuitive reading experience.

4. Ring Chime – $34.99

The Ring Chime is essentially a wifi-enabled box that will alert you when notifications from your Ring cameras and doorbells go off. When someone rings your doorbell or motion is detected, the Ring Chime will sound off an alert loud and clear. It’s easy to install, as you only have to plug it into a standard outlet and connect it to your home wifi.

Ring Chime allows you to choose from various chime tones, control the volume of the alerts and temporarily snooze alerts. These actions can be done using the Ring app on your phone.

5. Amazon Fire TV 65″ Omni Series 4K UHD Smart TV – $599.99

Simply turn on this Amazon smart TV by saying, “Alex, turn on the TV.” The Fire TV Omni Series brings you 4K Ultra HD entertainment for you and the whole family to enjoy. It has stellar picture quality, Dolby Digital Plus and hands-free control with Alexa. This smart TV has a thin profile and a near-seamless display, so you’re only focused on the content you’re streaming.

The Fire Tv 65″ Omni Series comes preloaded with the most popular streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+, HBO Max, Peacock, Tubi, Prime Video, YouTube and more. You can also stream music from your favorite apps, like Spotify, Amazon Music and Sirius XM. Another great feature is AirPlay, where you can share photos and videos on-screen from a compatible Apple device, like an iPhone or iPad.

6. Echo Frames (2nd Generation) – $269.99

Amazon’s Echo Frames 2nd Generation is a pair of smart audio glasses integrated with Alexa capabilities. They’re designed so any eyewear professional can add prescription lenses, just like regular glasses! You can make calls, listen to music, podcasts or audiobooks, set reminders, hear the latest news stories or make changes to your smart home using the Echo Frames.

The Echo Frames are lightweight, splash-resistant and come in versatile styles. Echo Frames users can get 2 hours of media playback, talk time and Alexa interactions over 14 hours, or 4 hours of listening on a single, full charge.

7. Echo Show 15, Full HD 15.6″ Smart Display – $249.99

The Echo Show 15 is a personalized smart display that can keep your family organized. It’s a 15.6″ display integrated with Alexa-powered widgets, including shared calendars, shopping lists, sticky notes and more. You can also add your most-used smart home devices and control them from the Echo Show.

Stream music, TV shows or movies using the Echo Show and even look up daily recipes that provide step-by-step instructions. You can also use the Echo Show’s Photo Frame feature to display family photos from your Amazon Photos or Facebook. One cool feature is that each family member can create their own profile with a visual and voice ID to see their appointments, recently played music or any reminders they’ve set.

8. Amazon Halo View Fitness Tracker – $79.99

If you’re in the market for a new fitness tracker, consider the Amazon Halo View. It comes with a full year of Halo membership, which can help propel you closer to your fitness goals and live a healthier lifestyle. Some key features include activity tracking, sleep time and assessment, long-lasting battery life and on-the-go control.

The Halo View also has mindfulness, nutrition and sleep programs that are science-backed to help you on your health journey. The tracker comes with a wide range of accessory bands in several colors. Halo View also works with Alexa — you can ask it to tell you your health summary, sleep quality, activity score and more.

9. Amazon eero Pro Mesh Wifi System (1 Pro + 2 Beacons) – $309.99

Mesh wifi systems are becoming increasingly popular. The Amazon eero Pro Mesh Wifi System may be the perfect solution to fit your home internet needs. The eero system replaces your traditional wifi router and extenders and offers coverage for a 2-4 bedroom home. The connection is fast, reliable and the second generation eero system is 2 times faster than the original eero wifi system.

The eero mesh wifi system leverages multiple wireless access points for a dependable internet experience. The two eero beacons simply plug into the wall and extend the wifi connection to every device in your home. It’s quick and easy to set up, as it only takes minutes and the mobile app makes managing the wifi easy and hassle-free.

Many tech brands are introducing smart thermostats into their product lineups. Ditch your traditional home thermostat and use the Amazon Smart Thermostat to help reduce energy consumption. If you have an Amazon Echo, you can connect it and control your home’s climate using Alexa voice controls.

The smart thermostat is made with Honeywell technology. It can even help you save an average of $50 on annual energy bills because it’s ENERGY STAR certified. Alexa does the programming for you and will adjust the temperature of your home based on your preferences. Some customers are eligible for ongoing energy savings incentives, but it depends on your specific energy provider.

The list above includes several examples of Amazon devices. Still, there are plenty more to dig your teeth into on their online marketplace. Whether you want a smart home with the latest technologies or a pair of smart audio glasses, Amazon likely sells a device that will suit your specific needs as a consumer.
