Our Favorite Creamy Keyboards for Every Budget

August 20, 2025 • Nick Cerrano

Who doesn’t love creamy keyboards? The sound is satisfying, but subtle enough that it doesn’t get annoying if you’re typing for a while. We couldn’t settle on just one favorite, so here are our top 10 picks — in no particular order.

Logitech POP Keys Mechanical Keyboard

Logitech’s POP Keys mechanical keyboard resembles a modern typewriter, with round keys set in a colorful plastic base. They keys have a creamy, low-pitch sound and are super satisfying to press. There are emoji keys on the right side, which are both practical and cute.

The tri-mode connection feature lets you switch between three devices at once with the press of a button. It has Bluetooth 5.1, so it can connect from up to 33 feet away. Since it uses a power-efficient connection protocol, the two AAA batteries that power it will last 36 months.

The keyboard itself should last a long while, too. Mechanical keyboards typically last for over 10 years, depending on the brand and case quality. Spending $50 to $100 may seem exorbitant, but you should think of it as an investment.

Nuphy Halo75 V2 Mechanical Keyboard (75%)

The Nuphy Halo75 V2 may not look like much, but it is one of the most powerful creamy keyboards on this list. The sturdy aluminum case holds 83 keys with Lemon 55gf Tactile switches for a satisfying, low-pitch sound.

The switches are hot swappable, meaning you can easily remove and replace them for a different sound or a new look. The F, J and up arrow keys have light-emitting bars so you can easily find them in the dark, even if you swap out the keycaps. They’re all programmable, so you can customize them to perform specific tasks.

Like the Logitech POP Keys, this creamy keyboard has a tri-mode connection function. You can connect it to your device via Bluetooth, wired USB-C or a 2.4 GHz connection. The 4,000 mAh battery will last up to 200 hours.

Epomaker Galaxy70 Mechanical Keyboard (75%)

This creamy keyboard is particularly smooth-sounding. The simplistic aluminum case houses 84 keys, slightly bigger than a compact model. The keys are programmable and the keycaps are hot swappable.

The keyboard is gasket-mounted, meaning there is material between the plate and keyboard housing that provides a cushioned feel while you type. It may not seem essential, but it feels better and is more high-quality than a hollow plastic alternative.

You can establish a connection via USB-C, 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth. If you choose to keep it wireless, the 4,000 mAh battery will last you a long time. The RGB backlight may drain the battery faster, but you can easily swap the batteries or plug it in.

KiiBoom Phantom 98 Crystal Mechanical Keyboard

The full-size KiiBoom Phantom 98 is a must-have for any pink gaming setup. The crystal-clear keycaps subtly diffuse the RGB backlight, giving off an aesthetic glow. Typing is a dream because the cushioned silicone case is gasket-mounted.

While the clear acrylic keys are hot swappable, they look perfect as-is, especially with the colorful base. Although we could be convinced to switch them out for the Epomaker Dawn Pink set or the Osume Sakura linear switches.

Like other top creamy keyboards, the KiiBoom Phantom 98 can connect via USB-C, 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth. The 8000 mAh battery has twice the capacity of other wireless keyboards at similar price points.

Yunzii B68 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (65%)

Another fantastic low-pitch creamy keyboard comes from Yunzii. At 65% the size of a full-sized model, it’s particularly compact and lightweight, making it ideal for carrying to class or work. It uses the milk V2 linear switch, which feels light and sounds amazing.

It is packed with features, including an RGB backlight, hot swappable switches, gasket mounting, tri-mode connectivity and shortcut customization. Our favorite feature is the handy volume knob up top.

The colorful gradient is also fantastic. The pop of color is fun, but professional. Unlike a regular gaming keyboard, it fits right at home in the classroom or the workplace. We prefer it in beige, but it looks just as good in black or pink.

Nuphy Air60 Wired Magnetic Keyboard (60%)

The Nuphy Air60 wired magnetic keyboard doesn’t have wireless capabilities, but is still among the most expensive options on this list. The 61 keys use the Jade Switch, so they produce a low, calming, creamy sound.

Magnetic keyboards offer superior speed and performance compared to membrane or mechanical alternatives. Each keystroke is smooth, which is ideal for gaming. This model has a silicone under-switch pad to reduce cavity noise without affecting keystroke precision.

You can configure key rush stop and re-trigger. You can even assign triggers after the initial keystroke to transition to another action quickly. The companion software lets you adjust the actuation point, rapid trigger timing, dead zone and RGB lighting effects.

Ubotie Colorful Wireless Membrane Keyboard

The full-size Ubotie membrane keyboard is the first budget option on this list. Despite being so affordable, it is wireless. You can use the convenient power switch to turn it off when it’s not in use, saving the battery when away from your computer.

Membrane keyboards are typically more affordable than their mechanical counterparts because they are cheaper to manufacture and may not be as customizable. However, we still think this product is a great pick for people who aren’t too concerned about the little details.

It resembles Logitech’s POP Keys product, but has slightly more keys. It produces a deep, rich sound as you type. You can choose a peach, rose, green or blue gradient. Ubotie also has a newer blue-green version that does away with the gradient in favor of subtle color blocking.

MageGee Wired Mechanical Keyboard

Depending on the color you get, some full-size MageGee keyboards are under $25. They go on sale relatively often. The Klein Blue model is slightly pricier because it has Blue Whale linear switches, which produce a smooth, deep sound.

All three colors are are white-backlit, with 19 effects, five brightness levels and five speed levels. One produces a ripple effect whenever you hit a key. Another lights up the W, A, S, D and arrow keys so you can game in the dark without losing your place.

The double-injection keycaps ensure the backlight is uniform and bright. The Klein Blue is all white, except for the enter, space and escape keys. The other models are one solid color. They are all wired, so you don’t have to worry about driver or software updates.

Redragon K717 PRO Mechanical Keyboard (60%)

Redragon’s K717 PRO mechanical keyboard looks deceptively simple. For one, it’s one of the smallest products on this list. Also, it seems like it’d produce a loud clacky sound. However, it has custom Dragon Chant switches. Despite its looks, it’s a powerful creamy keyboard.

It has tri-mode connectivity, enabling Bluetooth, USB-C or 2.4 GHz connections. The RGB backlight provides a fun, colorful background that is perfect for gaming. Despite being under $20, it has programmable keys, a hot swap socket and a noise-dampening layer.

IQUNIX Magi65 Pro Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (65%)

The IQUNIX Magi65 Pro piqued our curiosity since it was featured in tons of reviews and looked overly complicated. It produces a mid-pitch creamy sound that’s incredibly satisfying. Despite its length, it has just 68 programmable, hot swappable Gold Red switches.

The right-hand side panel features a volume bar, a fully customizable key and a multifunction button for pausing, playing or skipping songs. It was super handy for those of us who listen to music while working.

We also liked the sturdy aluminum base and slim form factor — it’s just 0.43 inches tall. Even though it’s so thin, it has a silicone layer and bottom-case foam to dampen cavity sound and make typing feel smooth.
