2025 could be another incredible year for gaming, with a flurry of long-awaited new launches and additions headed our way. This list could be massive, so it’s essential to establish some ground rules before diving into our anticipated 2025 game releases.
First, we’re not discussing remakes or remastered titles. As enticing as the graphics or nostalgia may be, recycled content just isn’t thrilling enough to include here. We’re also not listing 2025 early-access games. Though exciting, their developments are difficult to track, so there’s no way to be certain when they’ll be fully released.
With that out of the way, let’s explore the best games everyone’s looking forward to playing next year.

What Big Game Is Coming Out in 2025?
GTA 6 will likely be the biggest release of 2025. If the game turns out to be anything like its predecessors, it will be a wait worth the while. Of course, we’re excited to play with a central female character for the first time in GTA, plus the usual eccentricities that fans have come to love through the years.
