It’s that time of year — Spotify Wrapped 2020 is here! It’s the time when everyone is sharing their top songs and artists of the year that Spotify has consolidated into one neat presentation. This annual wrap-up gains momentum every year, with more and more people talking about their music and making memes about it.

If you’re trying to see your Wrapped and it’s not coming up, you could be running into common issues that others are also facing. Don’t worry, though, here you’ll find easy fixes to get your Wrapped quickly so you can start sharing your music with friends, family and everyone else with similar tastes.

To find your Spotify Wrapped 2020 section, follow these steps:

  • Open the Spotify app.
  • If Wrapped doesn’t automatically pop up on your home page, go to the search bar.
  • Type in Wrapped and it should appear.

If it still doesn’t show up, you can use this link to open it in the app or on your browser. Repeat these steps to find this year’s Wrapped after implementing these solutions:

Spotify Wrapped 2020 Not Working

Spotify Wrapped 2020 presents you with a few different sections. First, you have the “Your Top Songs 2020” playlist that puts 100 of your most-listened-to songs in one place. Next, you’ll see a “Missed Hits” playlists where Spotify organizes songs you haven’t listened to but thinks you’ll like. Last, the “On Record” section shows commentary on some of your favorite songs of the year.

Of course, the main focus is the feature that shows your top artists, songs, podcasts and genres of the year in a story-like feature with your favorite songs accompanying it. Here is where most of the obstacles are occurring.

First, close Spotify and every other app you have open. Sometimes, all you need to do is give the app a good refresh. When you open it back up, your Wrapped should show up. If not, check for updates.

Go to your phone’s App Store and check to see if Spotify has any updates. If it does, make sure you install it. Then, open the app and check for Wrapped.

Clearing your phone’s cache and data can also be a solution if those steps haven’t worked. On an Apple Device, go to Settings, General, iPhone Storage and scroll until you find Spotify. Click on Offload App which will free up storage and data on the app.

On an Android device, go to Settings, Storage, Other Apps and scroll until you find Spotify. Tap on it then click Clear cache. This step will help the app and your phone run more smoothly and potentially let Wrapped show up.

If all else fails, delete the Spotify app off your device then redownload it. Sometimes a fresh start will bring up features that weren’t previously there.

Response from Spotify

After a number of people informed Spotify that their Wrapped features weren’t working or weren’t showing up, the platform stated that it has addressed the issue. However, Spotify also stated that some issues still linger, which it is still working to fix.

In the meantime, if your Spotify Wrapped 2020 still isn’t working, you can try changing the animations in your phone settings. Though not all phones will have this ability, the Spotify forum provided some resources for checking to see what phones can change the animations.

Keep in mind that if you recently got a Spotify account, you may not have been eligible to receive a Wrapped account. The streaming service states the qualifications include having an account before November 15, 2020, having listened to at least five different artists, 30 different tracks and 60 minutes of music. These actions after November 15 do not apply.

Get To Sharing

After walking through these solutions, you’ll finally have your Spotify Wrapped 2020. From there, you can share the story features right to your Instagram, Twitter or any other platform you’d like. It’s one of the best parts of Spotify and sure to stick around for many years to come.
