Now that 2024 is over, it’s time to look back on the creators who captured the world’s attention, broke records and dominated the internet year-round. While YouTube is home to various channels, this highlight isn’t about the most subscribed channels — the music industry and nursery rhyme channels can easily take the first few spots. This list features individual creators striving for the title of YouTuber with the most subscribers.

10. Alan Chikin Chow

American actor and digital content creator Alan Chikin Chow can thank YouTube shorts for his 70.5 million subscribers. His channel is primarily known for the drama series Alan’s Universe, which has raked in 44 million views. While Chow’s channel is the 28th most-subscribed on YouTube, he’s not necessarily new to fame.

He’s appeared in mainstream media like Grey’s Anatomy and Mean Girls, beginning his career in acting before making a name for himself on the platform. Forbes featured Chow as one of 2023’s top content creators, even making it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 social media list.

9. A4

Vladislav Andreyevich Bumaga — better known as Vlad A4 or simply A4 — is a Belarusian-Russian YouTuber. He is widely considered one of the most popular Russian-speaking YouTubers. He created the A4 YouTube channel in November 2014 and gained significant fame with his 2016 video “24 часа в батутном центре” (24 Hours in a Trampoline Center), which helped him skyrocket from 200,000 to 1 million subscribers.

Vlad initially gained attention on the platform as a musician with a parody video but later ventured into other forms of entertainment. Despite facing accusations of video thumbnail plagiarism, A4 remains a popular figure in the Russian YouTube community, with 71.9 million subscribers.

8. UR · Cristiano

While not necessarily a YouTuber making a career primarily out of YouTube, Cristiano Ronaldo is making waves on the platform, proving just how big of a global icon he is. He has 71.9 million subscribers looking forward to seeing his entertainment, sports content and even a glimpse of his life behind the scenes. Ronaldo’s videos include training sessions, personal milestones and collaborations with other YouTubers, such as MrBeast. His strong online presence made him the most popular sportsperson on social media.

7. 김프로KIMPRO

김프로KIMPRO from South Korea is another contender that has quickly grown successful with their short-form, meme-inspired videos. Kim Dong Jun and his cousin Yoo Baek Hap have grown the channel to become the most-subscribed personal YouTube account in Korea.

The rapid rise from 50 million to over 74.4 million subscribers in just two years placed 김프로KIMPRO fourth among all Korean YouTube channels. Only three channels have more subscribers than Kim Pro, all of which are music and entertainment media giants — Black Pink, BTS and HYBE.

6. Stokes Twins

The Stokes Twins Alan and Alex bring double the fun and trouble to YouTube. These American twins have built a solid foundation of 103 million subscribers for their entertaining pranks and challenge videos. In terms of YouTubers with the most subscribers in total, they rank as the 11th most-subscribed channel worldwide.

Despite controversy over past content, the twins continue to grow in popularity with their community. Thanks to their swiftly increasing numbers, they’ve even been dubbed “the new MrBeast.”

5. PewDiePie

YouTube veteran PewDiePie — known as Felix Kjellberg in real life — may not be uploading as frequently, but his impact on the platform remains undeniable. His content focuses on gaming and comedic commentary, largely shaping YouTube culture for chronically online users. He also once held the title of the most subscribed YouTuber.

Although he’s stepped back from regular uploads, PewDiePie remains one of the top 10 YouTubers in the world, thanks to his legacy and loyal fanbase. Whether it was his “Bro Army” days or his epic 2019 subscriber battle with the Indian record label T-Series, PewDiePie has left his mark on YouTube history.

Despite semi-retiring from YouTube, his channel still maintains 110 million subscribers. Kjellberg also relocated to Japan with his wife — Italian Internet personality Marzia — and continues to vlog about their life in Japan outside of gaming.

4. Like Nastya

Like Nastya features Anastasia Radzinskaya, a 10-year-old YouTube superstar whose content ranges from misadventures to toy unboxing. She has a pretty impressive reach, as her channel is dubbed into multiple languages, including Spanish, French and Korean. All these have significantly expanded her stardom across the globe, earning her 124 million subscribers.

3. Kids Diana Show

Another favorite for kids and families worldwide is the Kids Diana Show, starring Eva Diana Kidisyuk. Diana’s playful, role-playing adventures with her brothers Roma and baby Oliver and their parents in educational skits offer wholesome content children adore.

The Kids Diana Show has over 128 million subscribers globally and contains children’s songs that accumulate over 2.4 billion views. As of December 2024, hers is the sixth most-subscribed channel in the world.

2. Vlad and Niki

Next up are the dynamic siblings Vladislav and Nikita, ages 11 and 9. These Russian-American influencers have taken family-friendly entertainment to a whole new level with brightly colored, energetic videos often featuring pretend play, adventure and child humor.

Sergey Vashketov and Victoria Vashketova — their parents — run 21 channels under their brand, but what’s even more impressive is their global reach. The kid-friendly channel is available in 18 languages, and the main channel is the fifth most subscribed channel in the world, with 130 million subscribers. It’s safe to say these numbers make the brothers a global phenomenon.

1. MrBeast

With 337 million subscribers, the undisputed king of YouTube is none other than MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson. His elaborate, viral stunts are why he’s at the top of this list. From hosting crazy challenges to giving away millions of dollars, MrBeast has a new standard for high-production entertainment on the platform.

He took the internet by storm with his most-viewed video — $456,000 Squid Game In Real Life!, which was his take on the viral Netflix franchise. His complex sets replicated iconic childhood games in the Squid Game series like Red Light, Green Light and Tug of War, which garnered him over 678 million views.

At just 26 years old, MrBeast has built a global empire with a following that goes beyond YouTube. His TikTok, Instagram and other platforms boast millions more.

YouTube’s Viral Sensations Wrapped

The digital entertainment scene has created platforms for these trending personalities to carve out their names and captivate millions. The diversity in age, culture and language proves there’s no such thing as barriers in the world of YouTube. As the platform and audience interest evolve, the YouTubers with the most subscribers continue to shape the future of digital entertainment and storytelling.
