Amazon’s Prime Day is better than Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined, at least for online shoppers. This year, these phenomenal sales will start today, on July 15th. That’s right — it’s Prime Day again, and that means it’s time to start scrolling through Amazon looking for the best deals, right?
Well, you could do that, or you could take our advice and check out these five fantastic deals that are waiting for you as soon as Prime Day starts!
1. Google Pixel 3a XL for $479 + $100 Amazon Gift
The Google Pixel 3 series phones will be front and center on Prime Day, despite the inherent competitiveness between Google and Amazon. The 3a XL will be priced at $479, but each purchase will come with a $100 Amazon gift card attached, which can help to fuel even more Prime Day Shopping. The 3 and 3XL will both be $260 off their regular price, starting at $539 and $639, respectively.
The $100 gift card bonus on the 3a XL is the same bonus that both Google and Best Buy offered when this phone launched, though each gift card was for the seller’s respective store.
For Amazon, this is a smart move — especially if the gift cards are delivered immediately and shoppers can turn right around and make more Prime Day purchases before their window closes on July 16th.
2. Apple Airpods for $144.99
If you haven’t picked up a pair of Airpods yet because of the price, Amazon has got you covered. Both styles — with wired and wireless charging cases — will be on sale for Prime Day.
These aren’t out of date Airpods either — these are the latest model, which have the new H1 headphone chip for faster wireless connection and provide quick access to Siri by simply speaking the AI’s name.
The set with the wired charging case will set you back $144.99, while those capable of wireless charging will cost $179.99
3. Amazon Echo Dot for $24.99
If you haven’t picked up an Amazon Echo or Echo Dot to start automating your home, now is the time to click that Buy Now button. The Amazon Echo Dot is on sale for 24.99 — half price, and the cheapest it’s ever been. Even if you don’t have any other smart devices in your home, you can teach your Echo Dot various skills to make your life easier.
Meal Idea will help you figure out what to make for dinner on those busy nights, while Scryb can send text messages without interrupting your flow.
You don’t need to use your Echo Dot or other Alexa enabled device to automate your house. By itself, it can make your life a little less hectic, and that’s worth $25 every day of the week.
4. Glas Smart Thermostat for $179.99
Upgrading your home’s HVAC system to use a smart thermostat doesn’t just help make your living room look cooler. It can actually save you up to 23% on your utility bills over the course of the year. They tend to be expensive though, which makes this Prime Day sale that much more exciting.
The Glas Smart Thermostat normally sells for $249. It’s on sale right now for $199.99, but Prime Day is going to knock another $20 off that price, bringing it down to $179.99.
This particular smart thermostat also works with Alexa so if you opted for that $25 Echo Dot, you can control your home’s HVAC system with voice commands.
5. Samsung Galaxy S10 for $669
For mobile users who have accounts with AT&T, T-Mobile or other GSM networks, Prime Day is the perfect time to pick up a new Samsung Galaxy S10. The newest entry in the Galaxy family will be on sale for $669 — $230 off its normal sale price of $899.
Whether you want to take pictures with its 12-megapixel triple camera or use it to explore the world with the newest augmented reality app, the Galaxy S10 will meet all of your needs and more, for more than $200 cheaper than you’d spend any other time of the year.
What Are You Waiting For?
Prime Day starts tonight at Midnight Pacific Time — 3 am for those of you on the east coast. What are you waiting for? Set your alarm, boot up your computer or smartphone and start shopping! These deals only last for 48 hours!
